What services does American Home Care provide?
We provide hourly or live-in services. For the hourly, we have a minimum of 4 hours per day.
Can the caregivers administer medications?
Due to the Virginia Department of Health regulations, caregivers are not allowed to administer or prepare medications. Our caregivers can only provide medication reminders.
Medications has to be prepared in advance by a family member.
In what areas can American Home Care provide care?
We can provide care in the following counties:
- Arlington County
- Fairfax County
- Prince William County
- Loudon County
We provide care in the following cities:
- City of Alexandria
- City of Fairfax
- Manassas City and Manassas Park
- Town of Vienna
Are the services provided only available for Seniors?
No, we provide care and services for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone who is qualified under medicaid. If you are not sure about the qualifications, feel free to contact us.
Caregiver Questions
What type of caregivers does American Home Care Provide?
American Home Care provides you assistance and services from several of our experienced caregivers, of whom are certified in fields such as; Adult, child, and Infant CPR, Care giving, and/or First Aid.
How does American Home Care select their caregivers?
We place our caregiver applicants through a rigorous background check through the police department, and a training background check to ensure that they are qualified/ certified to assist.
What happens if I want to change my caregiver?
If you are not satisfied with your current caregiver, or have any concerns regarding with him/her, contact the office at 571-620-7150, and we will provide you with a caregiver that can meet your needs.
Billing Questions
What type of payments does American Home Care accept?
We accept Private pay, and Medicaid waiver. We do not accept Private Insurance at the moment.
What are the rates of the services provided?

How do we get billed for our caregiving services?
We will send you your choice of a paper or electronic invoice. You may pay your invoice using our secured PaySimple link portal.
